Scope of work

KNUD E. HANSEN HVAC was in charge of the full HVAC design, conjointly with the client’s team incl.:

Design with Thermal load calculations, Air flow calculations, Heating calculations, One line diagrams, P&ID’s for accommodation, engine rooms, hangar, vehicle deck & technical spaces.
Control philosophy and coordination with el dept for control and P&ID’s.
HVAC equipment specifications. HVAC data for el load analysis. Evaluation of HVAC supplier documentation. HVAC part of Winterization.
Smoke clearance concept.
Fire damper push button arrangement.
Simultaneous factor report.
Update and maintenance of documentation through ship design and 3D modelling phase.
Support to client for discussions with owner, classification, yard and suppliers through
the design phase.
